Goal Setting and Outcome Measures In Canine Hydrotherapy

This CPD course is for canine hydrotherapists who want to learn more about goal setting and measuring outcomes of treatment. During this course the learner will study goal setting and learn how to identify and prioritise problems and develop outcomes which can be measured to track progress.

Although cases are referred for hydrotherapy with a veterinary diagnosis which informs treatment, there are various markers which should be measured and monitored by the hydrotherapist.  For example, joint range of movement, muscle mass and condition, strength and gait can all be measured and therefore the progress can be monitored.  These measures provide valuable information on which to base ongoing treatment and feedback to the veterinary surgeon.
